good news

I’m rather pleased that I have an idea for NaNoWriMo this year! The basic premise is ‘pandemic in space’.

And that’s all you’re getting.

I’m such a tease.

I just got hold of Page-Turning Scenes by Holly Lisle, which will be available at her site tomorrow. I’ve had a chance to look at a few excerpts and so far so good!

Hopefully I can get a review up here in the next day or two.

1400 words today.

This involved a lot of research, and I don’t like this story as well as yesterday’s, but I got it done.

The hail came back last night, but nothing seemed to be damaged, other than our rain gauge (which got its top knocked off).

The boys have a band concert tonight, the last one of the year. They’re signed up for band next year, and I hope they’ll continue in it. The band teachers are excellent in this school system.

… to the readers coming by from Double Consciousness. I’m honored to have one of my articles chosen for the March Erase Racism Carnival.

You ever get an idea for a story you’re writing that excites you about it all over again? I just got one like that for Esfera Valerosa … both incredibly geeky, and involving the Mayan calendar. Heh.

This one is top secret, for now!

Not too bad. 🙂

This novel_in_90 group on LiveJournal has been just what I needed to get going again.

One thing I like about it is that you HAVE to write, EVERY day. No breaks, but then it’s not a huge amount, just 750 words. For undisciplined me, it’s been a good thing.

I joined the Novel in 90 group over at LiveJournal, and right now it’s helping me get that kick in the pants to write again. As you can see by the wordcount bar.

The idea is to write 750 words a day for 90 days, every day. Or they mock you, which I find amusing.
