Just got off the phone with my sister who lives in Running Springs, CA. We haven’t been able to get hold of them until now.

They got evacuated from the wildfires and have been at the shelter at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino for almost a week. She and her husband have five children with one on the way in January, and my sister and one of her children have asthma, which the fires haven’t been helping. She said the shelter was ‘gross’, a lot of people there were ill, and they ‘spent most of the time standing in lines and filling out forms’.

They’re going to a friend’s house right now, as the fire still hasn’t been contained. But at least they’re safe.
